The Tarmac des Auteurs is a theater located in Kintambo, a popular neighborhood of Kinshasa. The Tarmac intends to strengthen and professionalise Kinshasa’s theater sector and create a repertoire of plays written by artists from the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The platform strives for universal access to performing arts and the works of contemporary authors through training, dissemination, creation and awareness actions.

Among the structure’s core activities, the Tarmac organises theatre writing workshops, which have led to the publication of a collection by Lansman in 2011.

Programme 2017-2021 : Africalia supports efforts to enhance management of networking, administrative and financial management competences ; training in theatre studies and writer’s residences ; and the marketing of theatre productions.
