Théâtre congolais contemporain

This books includes three plays written by authors from the Democratic Republic of the Congo :

- Einsteinnette (David-Minor Ilunga)
- Tour de contrôle (Célestin Kasongo)
- Prisonnires d’Ekafela (Jonathan Kombe)

In the last years Le Tarmac des Auteurs developed – with the support of Africalia – a solid foundation for the emergence of a new generation of playwrights. This was achieved by stimulating (young) writers, but also by inviting an impressive array of speakers, qualified to make them aware of the specificities of the writing of theatrical texts, such as content, form, language, etc.
This book contains three plays that are a first step in enriching the Congolese theater repertory. In addition, they are also meant to provide materials to the many theater groups in the country.
