Africalia creates and sustains a positive work environment for African cultural operators. Most of our actions are aimed at Africa and since 2017 we started our first Global Citizenship Education Programme in Belgium.

We have acquired significant expertise in cultural cooperation, and 90% of our budget goes to the activities of our partners.

We partner with artists and cultural organisations in 7 sub-Saharan African countries: Burkina Faso, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Rwanda, Senegal, Uganda and Zimbabwe. Our partners are active in various creative sectors: audiovisual, performing arts, literature and visual arts.

Each partnership is based on mutual respect and on a sustainable, long-term collaboration.
