The Gathering of April second edition consists of: 90 emerging artists, intellectuals and speakers from 6 countries in Europe and Africa. More than 4 hours of exchanges every night. 11 evenings (free admission) from April 17 to 28, 2018.
For two weeks, dozens of art students, emerging artists and intellectuals will gather around les Halles de Schaerbeek to investigate the role of the sacred in today’s world. The event will consist in a series of daily free debates, Q&A and artistic sharings.
Events will take place in les Halles or elsewhere in Brussels.
Like last year, there will be an interactive and participative element, in which the Brussels citizens will be invited to take part, either in the preparation of the sharings, or in the actual public events. We may organise a few surprising activities that will require your participation. Stay tuned for further information!
In the framework of the partnership between les Halles and Africalia, 10 young artists from Burkina Faso and Rwanda take part in this gathering.
These artists come from the following institutions: for Burkina Faso, the Institut Imagine (cinematography training) and the Cartel (speech and drama training); for Rwanda, Amizero (contemporary dance training) and Mashirika (theater training).
