National chapters are at the core of Arterial Network’s structure due to their roots in civil society, in fact the source where the desired changes in society are generally most clearly phrased. They are therefore primary means to carry out the objectives of the structure including improved working conditions and ensure real and substantial benefits to artists.
The network is broadly active in a diversity of activities affecting the cultural sectors at large : from toolkits for arts management to event organisation, leadership training and human rights issues in the arts, passing through journalism, fundraising and cultural activism.
40 national chapters have been officially launched :
Programme 2015-2016 : Africalia is focusing on core staff costs and overheads, but also on research, economic impact studies, development of toolkits, strengthening networks especially in those countries where Africalia is active and where the partner can play a strengthening role.
