The Africalia Cultural Cooperation Platform is a professional network for discussion and sharing of ideas aimed at strengthening ties between actors from various sectors using cultural activity for global citizenship education purposes in Belgium. Africalia wishes to bring together an initially small number of cultural organisations, development cooperation actors and artists from Africa and the African diasporas to move forward with the dialogue on cultural cooperation and the role of the arts and culture in reinventing our societies.

Some fifteen actors meet four times a year to discuss themes related to cultural Global Citizenship Education. They include representatives of the seven cultural organisations in partnership with Africalia, four representatives of the world of culture and development (RMCA, 11.11.11, CEC, Africalia) and five representatives of the Afro-descendant cultural and artistic sector in Belgium.
