This year, culture is being spotlighted in the EDD, and a carefully devised programme awaits visitors. Come and discover culture in all its facets on the 15 & 16th of June 2016 in Tour & Taxis, Brussels.

The European Commission has requested Africalia to set up a wide-ranging cultural programme which includes exhibitions, performances and the presence of cultural and creative industries (in collaboration with the ACPCultures+ Programme, implemented by the Secretariat of the ACP Group of States and funded by the European Union).
Africalia’s cultural programming revolves around the photography exhibition Congo Eza, the exhibition of Freddy Tsimba’s sculptures, performances by an itinerant storyteller and a stand promoting creativity and innovation through projects, festivals and cultural hubs, among which Design Indaba (South Africa), Kër Thiossane (Senegal), Kuona Trust (Kenya), The Office (Rwanda), Marché des Arts du Spectacle Africain – MASA (Ivory Coast) and Trinidad + Tobago film festival – ttff(Trinidad and Tobago).

The Africalia / UNESCO Debate « Culture, where art thou ? In Search of Culture in the SDGs.
