This documentary revisits the last days in power of the former President of Burkina Faso, using interviews and images from Droit Libre TV.
Synopsis : "After 27 years of unchallenged reign over Burkina Faso, President Blaise Compaoré and his government announced on the 21st of October 2014 their desire to amend the constitution to allow his continued hold on power. This will lead to a wave of protests and objections : streets are being blocked, meetings and marches are organized. People express their disagreement adamantly for days.
On October 30th, the day scheduled to vote the law, the anger of the people reached its height. Millions took the streets across the country. In the capital Ouagadougou, the power is on the streets : the National Assembly was stormed then burned. Confronted with a raging population, there is no choice left. On Friday the 31st of October 2014, the regime of Blaise Compaoré falls and the President leaves the country."
